This is a Massive Dual layer, standard Data DVD (8.4 GB) that will play on any Computer Disc Drive.
It contains:
1. All of the videos that I have produced - (350 separate performances) - all in excellent quality, and fully annotated.
2. All (around 320) of the transcriptions I have done. Each is in printable pdf format, and most are at least 6 pages in length. Each transcription matches exactly the scrolling notation on most of the Instructional videos on my website and Youtube.
3. There are around 400 midi files featuring piano on the DVD. Many of these match the videos, but there are several hundred other midi files that can be played on suitable midi software.
4. Around 70 or so bass and drums backing tracks for the 'trio' piano videos in MP3 format.
.If you have a very slow internet connection, or would like the convenience of them being instantly available on your computer, with one of these DVDs in your computer's DVD player, it is like having this site instantly available without downloading - the menus and links work exactly as they do using the internet - but with no waiting! This DVD will play from the DVD player on your computer, but it is not a video DVD such as you might have attached to your TV as it contains lots of other data. For teachers, I have not 'copyrighted' any of this material, so feel free to copy/use it as you want.
TIPS
If you play the videos from the DVD on Windows Media Player, hitting 'Ctrl/Shift/S' will slow the video down enough to read the text and see the notes that are being played. 'Ctrl/Shift/N' will return the speed to normal.
For those with an ipad, I would suggest that you try reading the transcriptions using a pdf reader on your ipad - on the DVD are over 1000 pages of piano transcription, so it would be a smart idea to try them using your ipad (or other tablet computer, or laptop) before printing a song out on your printer.
The videos are all in wmv format - easily played with any media player on your PC, or using Apple Quicktime on a MAC preloaded with the free 'Flip4Mac' add-on.
For ipad (or ipod, or iphone) users, try using the app 'Air Video' which can 'stream' and convert wmv videos in real time over Wifi from your computer's hard drive.
